Confirmation, Deposit and Balance Payment

All bookings need to be processed through our online reservation system. MeetMyGuide does not accept booking via phone call, text message or email. Please note that all bookings are not confirmed nor secured until MeetMyGuide receive deposit/full payment and you receive a confirmation invoice from MeetMyGuide after your payment. A non-transferable and minimum deposit of 50% of the total cost is required to place your booking.
 
The methods of deposit payment includes credit card and third party payment gateway PayPal. If you choose to pay partial deposit, balance payment method is cash after the tour. MeetMyGuide also accepts online payment for the balance through credit card or PayPal with a non-refundable 5% charge of the total remaining balance. Our customers are able to avoid 5% surcharge by paying balance in cash.

Cancellation and Refund

Cancellation by customer
Cancellation by our customer should always be sent by email. We do not accept cancellation by phone call or text message. Standard cancellation fees as stated below apply to all booking cancellations made by our customers:
  • Cancellation made 30 days prior to your arrival qualifies a full refund.
  • Cancellation made 29-15 days prior to your arrival qualifies a refund of 50% of deposit.
  • Cancellation made 14-0 days prior to your arrival qualifies no refund of deposit.
Note: we use Taiwan Time (GMT+8) as our standard time for calculating cancellation days. 

Cancellation by severe weather

Cancellation relating to severe weather conditions are: major earthquake, typhoon (second/land warning announcement made by government), flood, thunderstorm or landslide.

MeetMyGuide will return full amount of deposit if there is a typhoon approaching and the second warning (land warning) is announced on the day of the tour. For other situations like earthquake, landslide or heavy rainfall, we will cancel the tour if we deem it unsafe. If a tour is cancelled by us due to the force of nature, MeetMyGuide will return full amount of deposit. Our tour guides reserve the right to alter, extend or shorten the tour if encountered severe weather conditions after tour departs. In this situation, no refund will be returned. 
 
Note: Please note that we do not compensate the expense of your transportation (e.g. train or airplane) and accommodation if any tour is cancelled.

Flexibility of Itinerary

Please note that we may not be able to cover every spot listed in each tour itinerary due to the following factors:

  • The pace of the tour: If there’s any elderly person or handicapped in the group, it may slow down the tour. MeetMyGuide will not rush its customers to the next attraction just to complete the tour. We believe it’s the best for our customers to enjoy the moment if they feel connected to any attraction rather than setting a specific time for each attraction.
  • Road and attraction conditions: During the tour, it’s possible to encounter road traffic control or attraction maintenance by construction project, road damage or other circumstances. In this situation, tour guides at MeetMyGuide have the right to alter the itinerary accordingly.
  • Weather condition: Tour guides at MeetMyGuide reserve the right to alter the itinerary according to the condition of the weather.

Discrepancy on Number of Participants

If the size of the group is greater than your original order, you should inform us at least 24 hours before the tour and we will apply the surcharge according to the pricing of each specific tour. If the size of the group is smaller than your original order, you should inform us at least 24 hours before the tour. Or we will stick to the price of your original order.

Limitation of Liability

MeetMyGuide, its directors, tour guides and suppliers are not responsible for your safety. Outdoor activities are inherently dangerous and anyone taking part must take full responsibility for their own actions and for their own safety and well-being. By purchasing via MeetMyGuide website and taking part in any activities as a result of any use of this website, you FULLY ACCEPT AND ASSUME ALL RISKS AND ALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY INJURY, LOSSES AND DAMAGES TO PERSON OR PROPERTY THAT YOU MAY INCUR AS A RESULT OF YOUR PARTICIPATION and agree to release MeetMyGuide, its directors, tour guides and suppliers from ANY responsibility, liability or claim in law or in equity.

Your Content

You grant MeetMyGuide a royalty-free, transferable, worldwide license to use, store, display, save, modify, and distribute photos and texts that involves you taken during or after the tour with MeetMyGuide. The purposes are subjected to: promote our products on our website and its related online travel platform and display on social media.
